About Our Research Facility

In 2004, the Wuest Group – Groupe Wuest made an exciting move to the newly built Pavillon J.-A. Bombardier (PJAB). This cutting-edge research facility has been specifically designed to foster interdisciplinary research in materials science, nanotechnology, and related fields. Thanks to generous funding, including support from the Canada Foundation for Innovation, the PJAB is equipped with top-of-the-line tools that greatly enhance our research capabilities.

Impressive Facilities for Advanced Research

Within the PJAB, we have established key facilities that enable us to conduct groundbreaking research. Our pride and joy is our world-class laboratory for X-ray diffraction. This state-of-the-art lab is home to three new instruments, including a rotating-anode single-crystal diffractometer. Equipped with special focusing optics and a robotic sample holder, this instrument allows us to achieve unprecedented precision and accuracy in our crystal structure analysis.

Another essential component of our research infrastructure is our high-throughput synthesis and crystallization laboratory. Here, we employ efficient methods to rapidly produce and crystallize compounds, enabling us to accelerate our research progress.

Virtual Tour and In-Person Visits

Check out photos that will give you a glimpse into our state-of-the-art facilities and the advanced equipment at our disposal. If you are interested in learning more or experiencing our research environment in person, we welcome you to visit us at the PJAB. Our passionate team looks forward to sharing our discoveries, exchanging ideas, and collaborating with fellow researchers. Come and see what sets us apart!
